As well as playing great music, AghaRTA enjoys a superb location. Housed in a magnificent 14th-century cellar, the venue is just metres away from the Astronomical Clock on Old Town Square.
The club specialises in modern jazz and isn’t afraid to borrow from pop and rock. Some of the biggest names have played at AghaRTA: John Patitucci, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, and Marcus Miller. Quality music is the aim, and as the ratings on social networking sites show, even the most demanding visitors, those who are choosy about New York jazz clubs, leave a performance at AghaRTA feeling satisfied.
Let your mind wander, relax with a drink, and enjoy live music, which is played daily from 21.00. The club closes its doors at 01.00. But make sure you don’t turn up hungry, because AghaRTA isn't a restaurant!
Recently, the club celebrated its 20th anniversary. And it gives its numerous devoted fans the chance to become members of the AghaRTA fan club, offering them discounts on tickets and drinks. The club also has its own label, Arta Records, which doesn’t just issue jazz albums.
