Housed in an Art Nouveau building constructed in 1913-14, Café Imperial underwent reconstruction at the beginning of the new millennium. For many years, Praguers, who are extremely fond of this institution, had impatiently waited for it to reopen. Once inside, you'll understand why. Feast your eyes on pillars bearing stylised heads and covered with white tiles with decorative oriental and animal motifs. The interior also boasts mosaic ceilings, and walls adorned with floral designs, which create a truly breath-taking sight. Before the professional waitstaff at Café Imperial arrive to take your order, here is a little tip: don’t miss the chance to try something sweet. The desserts are some of the best in Prague.
